Cookies and localStorage are different

Cookies are small values that a browser can send with requests to a matching website. localStorage keeps values for an origin in the browser and does not automatically attach them to every request. Either can be used to remember a choice, and either can raise privacy questions depending on purpose. This static site’s own script does not set cookies or create advertising identifiers.

What is included here

The supplied pages contain no analytics library, advertising pixel or embedded social player. Navigation, progress-line animation and expandable questions do not need persistent storage. The contact tool keeps its draft in the current page’s memory rather than in cookies or localStorage.

A hosting service or separately supplied consent interface may add functionality outside this page code. Its actual storage behavior should be reflected in the information provided with that service. This notice does not claim to inspect or control infrastructure-level cookies.

Preference reset

The footer control removes the localStorage key paradepalsorbitwalnut-cookie-choice if it exists for this origin. The supplied script does not create that key or treat its contents as permission to load optional tracking. The control does not clear unrelated website data, delete downloads, erase clipboard contents or change preferences on TikTok or any other external service.

If a separate consent interface has stored a choice under another key or in a cookie, use that interface or your browser settings to manage it. Resetting one stored choice is not the same as a general data-erasure request.

Drafts, copies and downloads

Reviewing a viewing note does not transmit its fields. Copying writes the reviewed text to your device clipboard when the browser permits it. Downloading creates a plain-text file on your device. Those actions can leave a copy outside the page, including in a clipboard-history service you have enabled. Manage those copies through your device settings and file tools.

Your controls

You can use your browser’s site-data settings to inspect or remove storage associated with this domain. Private browsing may limit persistence, and blocking storage can make preference controls unavailable. The reading guides and local draft tool do not depend on an optional tracking choice.
